چکیده

In the print-type steganographic system and watermark, a calibration pattern is arranged around contents where invisible data is embedded, as plural feature points between an original image and the scanned image for normalization of the scanned image. In this paper, we propose an arrangement and detection method of an invisible calibration pattern based on the characteristics of human visual perception. The most important part of human visual perception in the proposed method is the spectral luminous efficiency characteristic and the chromatic spatial frequency characteristic. We embed the calibration pattern in an original image by adding high frequency component to blue intensity in a limited region. It is suggest that the proposed method protect page layout and artwork of original contents. In order for the detection of embedded calibration pattern to achieve high-speed and accurate processing the detection method composed from brief weak classifiers will be proposed.

Illusions of having small or large invisible bodies influence visual perception of object size

The size of our body influences the perceived size of the world so that objects appear larger to children than to adults. The mechanisms underlying this effect remain unclear. It has been difficult to dissociate visual rescaling of the external environment based on an individual's visible body from visual rescaling based on a central multisensory body representation. To differentiate these pote...

Perceptual display calibration

A good display design should make the inaccuracies and limitations of a display technology invisible to the human eye. However, this requires a good understanding of what is and what is not visible to the human eye. For that reason, display engineering is tightly linked to the understanding and modeling of visual perception. Chapter 4 of this book introduced the basic limitations of visual perc...

Real Time Inspection of Hidden Worlds

Smart Things” are commonly understood as wireless ad-hoc networked, mobile, autonomous, special purpose computing appliances, usually interacting with their environment implicitly via a variety of sensors on the input side and actuators on the output side. Such smart appliances have started to populate the “real world” with “hidden” or “invisible” services, thus building up an “invisible world”...
